Eazy Speak
4. Reasons to be cheerful
I have to admit the positive news stories are becoming harder to find – but here’s a good one …
The opening 6 months of 2008 saw an increase in online advertising spend of 21%. So is that just good news for us as internet marketers or for the wider economy?
Well, certainly in my opinion, it’s for the wider economy with spend increasing it means that we are positive about the future of the media as a route to market – and this means that we are becoming accustomed to the increased ROI that the digital universe gives us – in turn this means we’re going to demand better results, for less money, and in a more measurable format from the traditional marketing media. Can that be delivered? Personally I see a challenge there but don’t see why not.
The up-shot for me is that we get more new clients for a decreasing ad spend …
Follow the logic or completely disagree? Don’t just sit there – post your reply!
Have a great weekend … avoid the news channels!!!
