Over the last six months Eazytiger has been working with Leicester City Council and Leicester Shire Promotions creating and developing a new city brand for Leicester. A brand which encompasses everyone involved with the city to come together and unite under one identity, sharing a passion for the city they live and work in. After many hours of blood, sweat and tears we were finally able to show off our hard work and creativity when One Leicester, the new city brand, was launched last night (Thursday 19 March).
The event to launch One Leicester, which was held at Colton Square, one of the new regeneration projects in Leicester, was received very well by an audience consisting of Councilors, MPs, business people, celebrities and other key partners from Leicester who will all be playing a part in the growth and success of One Leicester. All of these key partners were very positive and supportive of this new brand and are all very keen to talk about how it will strengthen involvement in projects amongst their own key audiences.
One key area during the evening was to ask all those that attended to pledge their commitment to One Leicester. This was not only something that they took seriously but also were able to have some fun with. After asking everyone to have an individual photograph taken, they could then use this to make their own commitment poster where they could make their pledge to One Leicester.
Very soon everyone in Leicester will also be able to make their pledge to Leicester and create their own commitment poster by using the poster builder on the One Leicester website - www.oneleicester.com
The One Leicester website which went live immediately after the event also has a gallery where you can view the One Thing poster campaign that is going live across the city from next week. You can see a wide range of people from celebrities to local heroes who all have an association with Leicester about what they love the most about this city.
We are extremely proud that we have been involved in such an exciting and immense project that will really benefit and create a sense of identity and pride to those people who live, work and have an association with Leicester. This new city brand has already received positive feedback and we are looking forward to One Leicester being associated with the new projects that are already taking place across the city centre.
The Leicester Mercury, who is very supportive of One Leicester, has published this story in today's paper. Though we weren't so keen that it sat next to a story about a man who has committed sex acts with dogs!
