Eazytiger.net Evolves!

Welcome to the new Eazytiger web site!

Our previous site (our fourth in seven years) served us well, but at 3 years old was in need of an overhaul. No easy task to find time for when there's work to be done (cobbler's shoes etc), but somehow we've managed to squeeze it in.

It's been over a month in the making, but the redesigned eazytiger.net is now live (Thanks guys) and is packed full of new features that we hope you will enjoy and make use of.

Many of the new features are intended to promote user interaction and facilitate discussion, ultimately cultivating a community here on eazytiger.net.

As such we've integrated our own blog. Here we'll write about industry news and gossip as well as anything else that happens to be on our minds at the time. You'll be able to leave your comments on most of the articles we write and discuss topics with us and other users. We'll also be publishing a monthly Newsletter on all that is good and not so good in Web-related current events, so sign-up to stay in the loop.

There's a Glossary of Terms covering any and anything Internet related - ever wondered what those acronyms we bang on about all the time stand for? Now you can find out!

We've also reorganised the way we display our Services and portfolio of Work hopefully making things easier to follow and more useful to boot.

And finally, we've put together a showreel of work - for those who don't want to dig through the portfolio, this sums up what we do quite nicely.

When we put together our previous site, we wondered how Web Design and Internet techonologies would evolve over the coming years. Now, here in 2006, Web 2.0 is the new buzz-word. You may have heard the term Web 2.0 used before; essentially Web 1.0 was typified by the dotcom era, and what we now look back on as brochure style websites; static pages of information, typified by client briefs to take our brochure and put it onto the internet. Information with no interaction, and with influences from more traditionally understood media (printed material) these sites served a purpose of exposing companies to the internet and lighting their enquiries into how it could go beyond the traditional brochure.

Web 2.0 refers to a set of technologies that facilitiate two-way communication with a web user. Web sites now can be controlled by the user - no more static pages, but custom content and user interaction, and most importantly for our client's trading solutions (eCommerce).

Blogging now rules the roost, online communities are evolving and growing, personalised experience, online customer service, return on investment through quantifiable internet trading is the order of the day.

The future online is more exciting than ever, Internet technologies are becoming integrated with business systems and software, the trading of your webstore an integral and growing part of total sales, online customer service is being viewed as just as important as traditional interaction... More on all these subjects will follow here...

For now... Welcome to our corner of the Internet. We hope you have a pleasant stay.
