Presenting the Eazytiger Fluval EDGE auction - in aid of Leicester Charity Links.Usually, Eazytiger buys a large amount of Christmas cards to send out every year; however, in the interests of being green we've decided to do something a little different. This year we have decided to buy a Fluval Edge aquarium instead. Showing that we are environmentally-friendly isn't all there is to it, though. We are auctioning this aquarium on eBay and hope to raise money for a truly outstanding local charity.The charity we are in aid of is known as Leicester Charity Link. Founded in 1876, Leicester Charity Link helps over five thousand people every year who are living under harsh conditions such as poverty, crisis and extreme hardship. They raise money to pay for standard living necessities such as a bed or a simple cooker. Leicester charity link is officially supported by big names such as Jessops and even HSBC. Giving aid to those in need, Leicester Charity Link helps a vast range of people - they have improved the living standards of 1944 children, 724 carers, 652 disabled people, 486 elderly people living in poverty, 423 people facing a future without a home and 324 individuals with mental health conditions over the last year alone!Leicester Charity Link can take the money you donate and multiply the value of it by collaborating with other well established charities. If a Fun-Run is set up for example; the event will draw more donators and participants if other charities join in too. This is why the typical fun-run consists of many charity runners and staff working towards a common goal. By generating interest and awareness with its partners; every £1 that Leicester Charity Link invest in an event gains them five times the financial support which they would usually generate on their own.The way in which Leicester Charity Link multiply the value of their funds got us thinking. By auctioning this Fluval Edge aquarium rather than just selling it straight for the retail price, we might be able to multiply the value of the aid which could be achieved even before the donation reaches Leicester Charity Link. This auction has the potential to make a massive difference for a lot of people who deserve the same treatment we do. The best Christmas gift of all is the one that makes a real and positive change to the life of someone who matters.Every penny this auction raises will be donated to Leicester Charity Link.
