HowToGoMo is a website which Google have created in order to help business owners evaluate the performance of their websites on mobile devices. A virtual mobile device is simulated for the user's full immersion:
But the website does more than simply render an image of your website on a virtual mobile screen. It simulates the processing power and bandwidth limitations of 3g (phone) internet. By simulating the download-rate and output of a mobile device, HowToGoMo can determine whether a web page loads in an acceptable amount of time for mobile web-users.
Additionally HowToGoMo presents users with a brief 5-question survey which adds to the generated mobile-performance report. The report which you get from HowToGoMo is fairly simplistic but it is another tool in the online-marketer's arsenal. Even designers might find this site useful to reference their designs with regards to mobile display and load-speed.
