Eazy Speak

Some of that bespoking stuff?

Whenever we explain what we do we use words like Tailored, Solution, Bespoke, and I'm not always sure it's easy to understand or purchase.

Liken it to a restaurant with no menu - instead it has a blank piece of paper and a waiter that sits down with you and discusses what your likes and dislikes are (note to self - stop giving away such amazing business ideas away on your blog!)...

The various web technologies are like ingredients and our Account Managers like experienced chefs that consult with you on your personal preferences.

Every ingredient is chosen by you... You love them all, and it's cooked the way you like it. There's no waste, there's not a rubbish bit that you don't recognise and therefore don't use, and most of all it's fresh, just for you!

Anyway today one of our clients came to speak about an enhancement to their site... A vehicle for loved ones to contribute memories and photos to a site dedicated to their relative or friend that had passed away. As a charity they would have liked a way for the visitors to that person's tribute area to be able to purchase a candle in their memory and possibly make a donation to help them continue their great work for other families.

(Take a look at www.rainbows.co.uk for the worthiest charity you will find, the work they do would melt the heart of a statue)

Anyway... That job would require quite a bit of web development and they had been quoted quite a bit previously! But when you are able to sit down and discuss requirements in some detail solutions become much clearer. By utilising their existing eCommerce store and inserting some blogging tools we were able to build exactly what Rainbows required, but at a tiny fraction of the cost.

I'm not really making a point in this article... Apart from maybe bespoke doesn’t have to be expensive... it is often much cheaper than productised, rigid solutions - it certainly was in this case.

I've not found a venue yet for the restaurant so watch this space!
