Websites Face 4 Second Cut-Off

A new study suggests that shoppers are likely to abandon a website if a page takes longer than 4 seconds to load. This is a lot less than the previously held figure of 8 seconds.

Other sure-fire ways to cause people to give up on a website are poor navigation and long checkout processes - these 3 items are well above things such as visual appearance on website users' list of pet hates.
