What made it so successful
Our signature search engine friendly construction
There is a lot of competition in the online fashion marketplace and we needed to use every tool at our disposal to help promote the Cavells site.
We build the web page in a way that has the main content at the top - so the search engines see that first and get a better idea of what the page is about, and then we use clever positioning techniques to put the header section of the website visually to the top of the page. This gives the best of both worlds for human visitor and search engine.
We also make sure the basics are all covered as well - making sure the category and product names are in the web address, full management of the title tag and meta data in the content management system and using only standards compliant code. From this groundwork we can add the additional work required to increase the site's search engine visibility.
Active blog
Cavells have a lot to talk about, from the latest fashion trends and designers, to the social events in their surrounding area.
They're able to share this with their website visitors using their blog, and they do so regularly - building up a wealth of information and a relationship with a potential customer before they've even visited the store.
We enabled Cavells to engage in video blogging with the ability to upload video content instead of the more traditional typed blog entry. This created a much more engaging experience and helps to make the site that bit more memorable.

Email marketing with full reporting
Fashion is constantly changing and Cavells aims to help its customers stay up to date.
We created a number of email templates for Cavells to enable them to completely independently send out their own email campaigns, selecting the layout that best suited that particular campaign.
The email campaign system has a full analysis section so that Cavells can see how to effectively communicate with their customers in a much more personal way.
