Our signature search engine friendly construction
Extending an already successful site into multiple additional areas was no small task. WeAreFish was well known to its many happy customers, but there were dog and cat owners and many others to be reached. Extensive search engine optimisation was required.
Our eCommerce solution is especially built to be search engine friendly: custom metadata for each product can be added. The web address is constructed from the category and the product name. We also add additional features to product listings and to product ratings to enable search engines to identify this key data and interpret it correctly. Google can display product ratings as part of the standard listing which draws the eye to the WeArePets listing over the competition.
Extensive advice section
Part of the WeArePets approach was to establish itself not only as the place to come and buy pet products from, but also as the place to come for advice on pet wellbeing. To this end, we used the WeArePets blog to great effect, enabling them to regularly create uniquely authored content that was specially created by each expert.
This approach helps to engage visitors and builds trust to encourage customers to return time and again.
