It was truly an honour to design Manu Adebayor's website. His commitment and passion for his work challenged and inspired me in mine.

What can you say? - when this was first introduced into the studio, there was a definite scrabble as designers fought over who would get to work on it.

The outcome shows how much passion went into it - a high-end website that showcases the player perfectly.

We're proud of all the sites we produce here, but this one really stands out for all of us.

What made it so successful

Creative use of imagery

We sometimes have projects to work on that we struggle for imagery. Not so here - we had a lot of great content provided to us, and we able to leverage that and produce full width graphics that you see on the site.

The imagery was extensively worked, adding texture, depth and a nice sense of movement with the light traces that interweave across the photography.

Twitter integration

Twitter is definitely the fast, simple way to stay connected and the many Adebayor fans will want to follow him. So we created a promient area on the homepage that would pull through his latest tweets.

Making the homepage current and reflecting exactly what is going on in the player's life.
