Vittles Foods

The real star of the show is Martin’s accomplished product photography which we featured heavily.

Vittles Foods manages to balance a high level of culinary artistry and artisan skills with industrial-scale creation of desserts. Its visionary managing director/dessert designer/head photographer Martin Zelesny approached us to supply Vittles with a website that truly reflects the company’s creativity and attention to detail.

To get a feel for what makes Vittles such a special company, Martin gave us a tour of his Leicester factory. With a really good idea of the company’s culture and identity we created a design featuring vintage, oversized typography, smooth, animated page transitions and chunky call-to-action buttons. The real star of the show, however, is Martin’s accomplished product photography which we featured heavily. What made it so successful

Knowing when to stop...

When working on a web concept it can be tempting to throw all sorts of visual decoration onto a site to make it stand out. But knowing when to hold back and to spend the time carefully crafting what is actually required is what makes a design great.

And this is exactly that we did with Vittles. We took a breath, stood back and considered what was truly needed and then set to work mindful of letting the artistry of the products stand out.
