Eazytiger pioneer new tactile shopping technologies

By: Eazytiger

Eazytiger Web Design Ltd. are proud to announce the launch of a key new product that could change the face of ecommerce as we know it. Shown for the first time at the Internet World exhibition last week; the company unveiled their new ‘DropShop’ technology which focuses on making the on-line shopping experience a much more tactile experience, led completely by visual consumer responses.

A demo of the new interface is available to view at www.eazycommerce.co.uk.

In this instance Eazytiger have chosen to trial the product using a fashion boutique format. However, the uniquely simple ‘drag and drop’ selection format will easily adapt to suit many types of product-centric business.
Within the Eazytiger fashion store, customers are able to scroll quickly through ‘rails’ of garments, then drag and drop those they like into a ‘changing room’ where they can experiment with different outfits before purchase. Full colour and size ranges are also quickly selected. An additional magnifying facility is available so that shoppers can enlarge decorative details of the pieces or view the finish of the clothing at close range.

Gary McCarthy, MD of Eazytiger said:

‘We were keen to make the on-line shopping process as close to the real store experience as possible. By making the product browsing, selection and purchase journey as simple as possible, we feel we have resolved many of the frustrations that ecommerce has traditionally created. The reaction to this at Internet World has been fantastically positive.’

Most amazing is the fact that this complete product selection, comparison and viewing process is all performed within a single screen; shoppers only leave this area once they have decided to proceed to ‘checkout’ which minimizes the potential for customers to drop out of the purchase path, causing the loss of valuable sales.
As part of their fashion demo Eazytiger have even developed a virtual ‘personal shopper’ facility. Again, reflecting real life retail, once your details and garment needs have been input the personal shopper will select complimentary items to suit the customer and display them ready for fitting in the changing room.
The visual interface of the system is impressively realistic and the ease of use and movement shown within the pages is outstanding. However, in order to optimize the SEO potential of sites using this technology, the use of Flash has been avoided.

Eazytiger have engaged their decade of website design and development in the project and, if initial responses are to be believed, the system is set to revolutionize how we shop on-line.
